The statement of a group of Armenian civil society organizations regarding the Armenia-EU visa liberalization process
We, the undersigned civil society organizations, welcome the start of
Hasmik Harutyunyan, the Legal Expert of the “Protection of Right without Borders”
NGO participated in the 22 nd monitoring meeting of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for
Eastern Europe and Central Asia organized in Paris, France, during which the anti-
corruption agenda in Armenia, as well as the international anti-corruption commitments
undertaken by Armenia were presented and discussed.
Protection of Rights without Borders NGO presented their approach on the
necessary reform agenda in the judicial and prosecution sectors, highlighting the current
problems in the relevant sectors and proposing recommendations for solutions both in
written as well as during the discussions.
During the plenary session held on October 3, Hasmik Harutyunyan drew the
attention of the international community and the delegations also about the security
challenges of the Republic of Armenia and development taken place in Nagorno Karabakh.
It was noted that continuous attacks and security threats by the Republic of Azerbaijan are
having negative impact on the implementation of the reform agenda in Armenia, which
should receive due attention and assessment.
