Capacity Building Training for the Professionals in Justice Sector Reforms

On July 27-29, 2023 the training course on the topic “Strategic Planning of Justice Sector Reforms” initiated by the Protection of Rights without Borders non-governmental organization was organized in Aghveran.

The objective of the training course was the capacity building of the responsible actors of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and civil society representatives, respectively  involved in the planning and implementation of justice sector reforms in the Republic of Armenia, as well as in the process of monitoring and evaluation. 

The training was conducted by Shant Aljyan, Expert of Management and Leadership and Hayk Abrahamyan, Strategic Planning and Communication Expert. 

During the training, participants were equipped with theoretical understanding of strategic planning, encompassing its various components, methods for identifying strategic priorities, and the formulation of action plans. Additionally, they explored the application of these principles through connections made with relevant business tools. 

The participants utilized the theoretical knowledge they gained by engaging in practical strategy planning within their sectoral groups. This process included analyzing problems and goals, defining relevant indicators and verification measures, and formulating detailed action plans.

In the scope of the training, participants were introduced to various monitoring and evaluation tools (M&E)  allowing them to become familiar with their usage and application. They also worked on developing an evaluation plan, outlining the steps needed to systematically assess project progress and effectiveness. They also discussed the importance of participation and accountability, the involvement of beneficiaries during strategy planning and implementation.


The training was conducted by the Protection of Rights without Borders non-governmental organization in close cooperation with LAB International Business Academy by the financial support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
