The visit of the PACE Monitoring Committee to Armenia
Giuseppe Galati and Bas Klen, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Group Co-Rapporteurs for Armenia had a visit to Armenia within the period of May 23-24 of 2018.
The aim of the visit was to discuss the latest political progressions in Armenia, the priorities of the newly formed Government, as well as the reforms. Besides the meetings with the high-level officials, the co-rapporteurs held meetings with the representatives of civil society organizations too.
Protection of Rights without Borders NGO also participated in the meeting with the co-rapporteurs presented by Hasmik Harutyunyan the legal expert of the Organization. During the meeting, Hasmik Harutyunyan presented the judicial reforms. The problems of the Judicial Coded, enacted from 2018 as well as the main obstacles of the judicial independence were particularly presented and discussed during the meeting.
