The Protection of Right without Borders NGO elaborated an opinion on the package of draft laws on making “Amendments and Suppliments in the RA Constitutional Law on “Judicial Code”, which was circulated by a number of Deputies of the RA National Assembly on February 25 of 2021.
According to the Organization, despite the objective of the changes and supplements recommended by the draft laws, which are the ensurance of the efficiency of judicial cases examination, the proper exercise of the rights and legal interests of the representatives, ensurance of the requirement to examine and solve the cases within reasonable deadlines, however, in case of adopting the draft laws with such changes, the latter will increase the problems of the judiciary and disrupt the guarantees of judges’ independence.
