Haykuhi Harutyunyan, the President of the Protection of Rights without Borders NGO also participated in the above mentioned forum and delivered a speech.

In her speech, Haykuhi Harutyunyan highlighted her professional experience, the role of civil society organizations, as well as the importance of cooperation with the later.

During her speech, Haykuhi Harutyunyan also made a reference to the April events of 2018: “during the peaceful assemblies and marches of 2015, 2016 and 2018 we concentrated a group of lawyers to provide legal support to the citizens who suffered the ill treatment of policemen. We submitted more than 60 complaint-applications on behalf of citizens, who suffered the ill treatment of policemen, which demonstrated the systematic violations of participating in peaceful assemblies, as well as violations regarding the freedom of expression. We were talking about political prisoners and were representing the latter at national and international platforms. These are not mere numbers…” – mentioned Haykuhi Harutyunyan during her speech.
