“Why Are There No Armenians In Nagorno-Karabakh?” fact-finding report was
On August 2 of 2018, a public discussion on “Armenia’s Third Periodic Report on the Implementation of the Provisions of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights” was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry.
Representative from the respective ministries and civil society organizations participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the report, as well as brief information on the preparatory works of the report were presented. The report exclusively covered the period of 2010-2017.
Hasmik Harutyunyan, the legal expert of the Protection of Rights without Borders NGO also participated in the discussion. The latter presented the Organization’s observations on the report. Particularly, observations and recommendations regarding the respective articles on judiciary and penitentiary sectors reflected in the report were presented by H. Harutyunyan.
The Organization informs, that the raised issues, observations and recommendation will completely be presented in the alternative report to be elaborated by the PRWB on Armenia’s Third Periodic Report of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
