RA criminal court of appeals has rejected the application to grant early conditional release to Volodya Avetisyan

Volodya Avetisyan, who was sentenced to six-year imprisonment and his advocate, requested the Criminal Court of Appeals to make a decision on early conditional release for Volodya Avetisyan. The Independent Committee has rejected the application of early conditional release for 6 times all without any justification. “No justification, no ground explanation was received by V. Avetisyan on the rejection of the application. That decision is arbitrary and in this regard there are no concrete criteria” – announced advocate Araks Melkonyan at the court today.

The prosecutor was against the above mentioned complaint application mentioning that the procedure for the application to the court has not been maintained. After returning from the advisory room, Judge Karine Ghazaryan rejected the complaint application on early conditional release. The friends of the freedom fighter Volodya Avetisyan did not expect other judgement.

“I understand these courts too in regard that they are completely and till the last drop are enslaved and cannot destroy the testimonies given to the pasha.”- told the freedom fighter Volodya Avetisyan to “A1+” news agency.

Regardless the court decision Volodya Avetisyan will be released on May 25 of 2017 as a result of the amnesty granted the latter on 2013.
