Today, Yerevan Erebuni General Court of Jurisdiction continues the court hearing on the case of “Yuri Khachaturov against Stepan Grigoryan”.

It should be mentioned, that former General Secretary of Collective Security Treaty Organization demands 2 million Armenian Drams as a compensation for moral damage, compensation for judicial expanses and public denial. Grigor Bekmezyan, the representative of Yuri Khachaturov mentioned the latter during the interview with Aravot.am news agency.

Today, Haykuhi Harutyunyan, the defender of Stepan Grigoryan stated, that the applicant did not present concrete and certain activities. As satate by the defender, general concerns are presented in the interview related to the fact, that Armenian authorities did not properly carry out their official duties and asked the National Security Service to check the authenticity of the presented concerns.

As state by the defender, each citizen can express concerns and for it, the latter cannot be persecuted. In response to the question of Aravot.am, Haykuhi Harutyunyan said, that she does not see political issue in every question: “for sure the protection of the dignity and the personal is a fundamental right, but for a person carrying out public duty the protection of the right is more important”.
