We, the undersigned civil society organizations, welcome the start of
Since July 1 of 2018, “The Protection of Rights without Borders” NGO, with the financial support of “European Endowment for Democracy Foundation”, has been implementing a project on “Ensuring Legal Assistance and Effective Remedies for the Participants of the Peaceful Assemblies of April, 2018 in the Republic of Armenia”.
The Project aims at providing legal assistance to the people subjected to violence during the peaceful assemblies of 2018 in the Republic of Armenia.
Particularly, within the scope of the Project, application of domestic remedies, as well as the conventional mechanisms of the people subjected to violence during the April events of 2018 will be implemented.
Approximately 30 complaint-application will be filed to the European Court of Human Rights on ground of violation of a number articles prescribed by the Convention.
Legal assistance will be provided to the citizens involved in approximately 70 administrative and criminal proceedings instituted in the outcomes of violations and other illegal activities during the period of April 13-25 of 2018.
A report on the violations of human rights will also be elaborated by the Organization.
