Meanwhile, by the evaluation of the administration and experts of the psychiatric medical center, the patient was taken to the psychiatric medical center legally by the legal representative. By the intervention of the advocates of our Organization, as well as the RA Human Rights Defender, in the outcomes of the psychiatrists’ examination committee it was recorded, that G. N. did not need compulsory treatment, but the latter needs special care. Therefore, taking into consideration, that his guardian rejected to take him from the psychiatric medical center, G. N. was obliged to stay at the psychiatric clinic for three days without medical necessity.

In such conditions, the failure of the Republic of Armenia in the protection of rights for elderly men with disability and especially in the organization of care guaranteed by the state under its international obligations is once again recorded.
