“A demand for Judicial Reforms: the Recommendations of the human rights defenders”
A discussion on the topic “A demand for Judicial Reforms: the Recommendations of the human rights defenders” was held at Media Centre on May 15 of 2018.
Hasmik Harutyunyan, the lawyer of the Protection of Rights without Borders also participated in the mentioned discussion. During the discussion, Hasmik Harutyunyan mentioned that since the day of Independence, the issues of the judicial independence has been raised: “During the constitution reforms in 2015, the issue of the amendments of the judicial code was considered a priority, but the changes do not ensure all the necessary guarantees to have an independent judicial authority”. Hasmik Harutyunyan also touched upon the concerns regarding the Highest Judicial Council.
