The Armenian Civil Society Representatives also participated in the above mentioned Meeting on September 19-23 of 2016, who presented and addressed the unusual human rights violations in Armenia within the period of July 17-30 of 2016.

Particularly, strict concerns on the freedom of media and pressures against the journalists, police violence, as well as the Special Forces used by the police towards the participants of the peaceful assembly were raised during the meeting.

The practices of court abuses towards the participants of the peaceful assembly, as well as the detention as preventive measure were presented during the rule of law session of the Meeting.

Taking into account the false criminal charges against the participants of the peaceful assembly, procedural gross violations, as well as the content of the decisions made in regard to the detention as preventive measure, the citizens currently under detention are qualified as prosecuted for their worldviews and conscience according to the Announcement of the RA Civil Society Representatives.
