Shahen Shahinyan\u2019s career in finance administration\nstarted on March 01, 2000 with a USA-based Catholic Relief Services (CRS)\nbranch office in Armenia. Shahen started professional trainings in Financial\nresource management in Baltimore, USA and Ohride, Macedonia and since then\ncontinues participation in dozens of trainings on the local Armenian Tax\nLegislation, Amendments and Financial Management and Reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working in the position of a Chief Accountant with Catholic\nRelief Services Armenian Branch and Transparency International anti-corruption\ncenter public organization, Shahen has worked with internal and external audit\nteams on annual basis getting positive feedback on the Annual Audit Reports due\nto his professional knowledge on legislation and financial management in\n\u201cArmenian Accounting Systems\u201d and \u201cSun System\u201d SQL type database.&nbsp; Shahen has been registered at the Tax\nInspection as a Chief Accountant since October 2003 with full responsibility\ncomplying with the local law requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being well-aware of USA financial policies and procedures,\nas well as legislation and taxation laws and requirements of the Republic of\nArmenia, he applied skills and expertise and to the programs and business\nactivities keeping all the internal and external reporting deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shahen has experience in direct financial assistance to\nimplementation and completion USAID-funded multi-year projects, direct\nfinancial assistance to implementing and closure of projects funded by the EU,\nCORDAID, DFID, OSF, NED, World Bank, Jinishian Memorial Foundation, Dadourian\nFamily Foundation and other donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shahen\u2019s experience includes also set-up and closure of\nsub-offices and registered companies after end of operations in Armenia\nensuring that all financial activities follow the organization\u2019s and donors\u2019\npolicies and procedures, and the local law requirements.
