We, the undersigned civil society organizations, welcome the start of
The Protection of Rights without Borders NGO initiated a discussion on February 28 regarding the challenges of the RA Prosecutor’s Office reform.
At the event, findings from research conducted by the Organization were presented, focusing on the progress of reforms within the RA Prosecutor’s Office and the fulfillment of international obligations undertaken by Armenia. The presentation covered various aspects, including models of self-governing bodies within the Prosecutor’s Office, international standards, and global practices. Additionally, the monitoring of open competitions for recruitment within the RA Prosecutor’s Office and the results of performance evaluations of prosecutors were discussed.
Further discussions were held regarding the conceptual recommendations formulated based on the outcomes of the studies.
The event was attended by representatives from various entities, including the General Prosecutor’s Office, the National Assembly, the Supreme Judicial Council, the President’s Office, the Corruption Prevention Commission, investigative bodies, and civil society organizations.
