Monitoring is defined as the constant observation and evaluation of the process of any situation, which enables to make changes.
“The Protection of Rights without Borders” non-governmental organization adheres the approach, that the monitoring is the main means, which enables the non-governmental organizations to ensure the continuous improvement of a situation.
The Organizations has conducted monitorings on court performance and the right to fair trail, activities of prosecution and pre-investigation bodies, pre-election and election procedure monitoring, as well as monitoring on security sector.
Within the activities of the Organization, the court monitoring is one of the key areas for monitorings. Through the court monitoring, the right to the protection of fair trial by local courts in accordance with national and international standards on the right to fair trail is evaluated. The court monitoring enables to evaluate the activities of the justice system, detect the areas which need reforms at the same time predicting the directions of the reforms.
Parallel to the court performance monitoring, the Organization has also conducted monitoring on the activities of the prosecution and investigation bodies.
Within the scope of its activities, the Organization has conducting monitoring pre-election and election monitoring during the presidential, parliamentarian, local self-government bodies’ elections, as well as during referendums.
Monitorings on security sector, including armed forces, law enforcement bodies, as well as the activities of penitentiary system have been conducted by the Organization.
The Organization has conducted different project directed towards the establishment of independent monitoring mechanisms towards the public administration reform procedures.
Monitorings on the implementation of the action plan presented by the international organizations undertaken by the state have been conducted by the Organization.
