PRWB AND HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDER’S OFFICE SIGN COOPERATION MEMORANDUMS

On 4 June 2011, PRWB and Human Rights Defender’s office signed a cooperation memorandum with participation of NGOs for the protection of servicemen’s rights, Public Council of the RA Government and investigative journalists. The memorandum defined the priority areas of future cooperation between Human Rights Defender’s Office and the above-stated NGOs, namely exchange of information, NGOs participation in the discussions concerning the legislative drafts on servicemen rights and development of cooperation and rapid response mechanisms for a better use of the existing resources. All the interested NGOs willing to join the activities of Human Right’s Defender’s Office may sign the memorandum. Another memorandum was concluded between PRWB and Human Rights Defender’s Office on 4 June 2011, specifying the scope and areas of cooperation between the NGOs committed to human rights and the right to fair trial, RA Chamber of Advocates, law firms and attorneys. All the interested NGOs willing to join the activities of Human Right’s Defender’s Office may sign the memorandum.
