PRESS RELEASE “Human Rights Violations in the Republic of Armenia during July 17-30 of 2016” Report presentation

The presentation of the report on the “Human Rights Violations in Armenia on July 30 of 2017” elaborated by a number of Armenian non-governmental organizations will take place at “Media Center” on July 8 of 2017, at 11:30 PM.

The aim of the report

The current report touches upon the events which took place on July 17-30 of 2017 in the Republic of Armenia, exclusively with the regard to the human right violations, as well as provides detailed information on the circumstances and outcomes of the violations.

The purpose of the discussion

The aim of the discussions in Media Center is to once again raise the facts of human rights violations, as well as the demand for their responsibility.

Moreover, the fact that the court trails of the citizens on the July cases are ongoing, and the trails on the 14 citizens of Sasna Tsrer armed group will soon restart should be taken into consideration.

In addition, none of the policemen involved in the July events have yet been subjected to responsibility.

After getting acquainted with the facts on the violations presented by the general public, a discussion is intended to organize on July of 2017, during which information on the outcomes of one-year investigation of the cases will be presented.
